Shareholder Attorney Allison Peryea Helps Organize First-Ever Community Association Industry Event With Local Realtors

On April 30, Shareholder Attorney Allison Peryea, who is also the 2026 Community Associations Institute - WA State Chapter (WSCAI) President, helped lead the effort--along with SKCR 2026 President Cheyenne Gillooly--to schedule a first-ever joint event with the Seattle King County Realtors. This educational mixer, sponsored by WSCAI and held at the Washington Athletic Club, included a panel presentation on navigating resale certificate law changes from both the community association and Realtor perspectives. It was attended by 80 people, including WSCAI and SKCR members.

WSCAI Annual Conference 2026 is in the books!

Washington State Community Association Institute's Pacific-Northwest-themed Annual Conference was held April 9-11 at the Seattle Convention Center-Summit Addition. Peryea Silver Taylor participated in the Friday trade show; attorney Mary Reiten presented twice on dispute resolution; and attorney Allison Peryea presented on water losses. Mary and Allison also served on the Saturday attorney panel. Allison also helped emcee the event as WSCAI 2026 president! The event included educational programming, a fundraiser dinner for the Legislative Action Committee, a dueling-piano mixer, and more!

Peryea Silver Taylor is excited to welcome Ritika Kishore to our team as a paralegal. She moved from San Jose, California, to Seattle. She has several years of experience working as a paralegal in banking, finance, real estate, and general corporate advisory. She holds a JD-equivalent from Karnataka State Law University, and an LLM from O.P. Jindal Global University, both in India. Her long-term goal is to pass the bar exam in Washington and California. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, exploring a different variety of cuisines, painting, dancing, and baking.

Fore! Peryea Silver Taylor Lawyers Attend EMB Management’s first Associa Cares Swing and Putt Social

On April 23, attorneys Lauren Olson and Chawisa Laicharoenwat attended EMB's charity networking event to support the work of Associa Cares. The mini-golf event was held at the Flastick Pub in Redmond. Lauren got a hole in one, of course.

Peryea Silver Taylor helped sponsor the event. Associa Cares is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping people in crisis in the aftermath of natural and man-made disasters. Associa Cares has distributed over $6.4 million in direct disaster relief aid to more than 4500 families since 2005.

We have long since moved across the 520 Bridge to do business in downtown Seattle, but we still do the same thing every day: Help our community association clients preserve and improve their communities. The CAI Law Seminar is an event hosted by the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL), aimed at advancing the knowledge and practice of community association law. It provides a learning opportunity to discuss emerging trends and legislative issues, along with networking opportunities for attorneys and insurance professionals representing community associations. The seminar is designed to help attendees stay informed and prepared to address pressing issues in the field.
