Biography

I was born and raised in the Chicago area (and as most folks know I am a die-hard Chicago Cub fan – yes, the 2016 World Series Champions!).  During my early years I spent summers on my grandparents’ blackberry farm in Puyallup.   This connection to the Northwest led to my move to Seattle following a two-year clerkship with the Illinois Appellate Court in the state capital of Springfield.

In 2001 my family and I moved from Seattle to south Mount Vernon/Conway where I served on the Conway District School Board for six years.  Commuting to Seattle a couple days a week (via bus and train) and telecommuting from a home office, resulted in my not only maintaining connections with association clients in King County, but also expanded connections to associations in Snohomish and Skagit counties.

In addition to representing associations for over 40 years, I have extensive experience in the construction industry (representing general and specialty contractors) and with small businesses (representing small businesses in real estate and commercial transactions).  As I often emphasize to association clients, this experience is beneficial in providing counsel to associations in their real estate matters and in dealings with contractors/vendors.

I was pleased to work with my friends and colleagues at Peryea Silver Taylor to seamlessly transition clients to the firm.
