Biography
Lauren is the lead attorney in the firm’s WUCIOA Drafting Department. In this role, she specializes in guiding community associations through the complex process of updating governing documents to comply with RCW 64.90, which will have universal application beginning in 2028.
Lauren is dedicated to drafting customized replacement governing documents that fully adhere to the new WUCIOA requirements, ensuring a seamless transition for your association. From initial consultation to final document execution, she works closely with boards to provide expert guidance and efficient service.
Lauren earned her BA in Economics from Whitman College and a J.D./M.B.A. with a certificate in Business Law from Willamette University. With a strong foundation in law and business, Lauren has a deep understanding of the unique challenges facing community associations.
Her years of experience serving community association clients extends beyond WUCIOA compliance to encompass a wide range of legal matters, including construction contract review, repair and capital improvement projects, and governing document amendments, enforcement, and interpretation.
Committed to staying at the forefront of industry trends, Lauren is an active member of the Washington State Community Association Institute, the trade group serving community associations within our state. She is a member of the WSCAI Annual Conference Committee, a regular contributor to the WSCAI Journal, and a frequent presenter at WSCAI conferences and events.
